Golden Globe Awards Recap
The Golden Globe is an award for excellence in film and television bestowed by the various members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. The 72nd annual Golden Globe Awards took place Sunday, January 11th, 2015, and as expected three-time hosts Amy Poehler and Tina Fey did not disappoint. They added a splash of comedy to the ceremony, joking about Bill Cosby, the new movie The Interview, George Clooney, and many more.
The speeches this year seemed to have a touch more emotion then previous years. Actress, Patricia Arquette, got a little misty eyed thanking her success in the movie Boyhood to her late parents and beautiful children. Michael Keaton’s speech contained him thanking his son for being his best friend and then making fun of himself for getting emotional. And of course, when George Clooney thanked his lovely wife, Amal Clooney, the emotions continued to roll.
And the night continues on with more jokes, tears, and, of course, awards.
