Mount Rushmore’s Mark in History
October 31st has always been known as Halloween, Allhallows Eve, and even the night of Trick-or-Treating.
October 31st, 1941 also marks the time when the famous architectural carving of Mount Rushmore was completed. In South Dakota, this huge memorial attracts millions of tourists in search of this carving. It is a site where people stand in admiration at four of our founding fathers, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln.
Halloween is not only about dressing up and asking for candy, it also marks a time in history which reflects back onto the foundation of our nation.
