The GOAT has won it all!

That’s It! The wait is over! He has done it!
Messi finally won his World Cup.
Lionel Messi and Argentina has captured the crown jewel of soccer! After a game that I and many others had multiple heart attacks, Argentina was crowned World Cup Champions! The Albiceleste (Nickname for Argentina) defeated the incredibly talented French team, 4-2 on penalties after an amazing 3-3 game.
The first half of this game was all Argentina. In the 23rd minute Angel DiMaria was taken down in the box leading to a penalty. Messi slotted it home with ease putting them up 1-0. 13 minutes later Messi sparked an unbelievable counterattack. Messi to Julian Alvarez. Alvarez to MacAllister. MacAllister to DiMaria… Goal! 2-0 Argentina after a world class finish from DiMaria. Going into halftime the world thought Argentina had it in the bag. Kyllian Mbappe and France thought differently. Argentina dominated the first 30 minutes of the second half when suddenly, a Frenchmen was taken down in the box. Penalty. Mbappe slotted it home past the diving Martinez to cut the deficit in half. 2-1 Argentina. Not even 2 minutes later, Mbappe struck again, smashing a volley past Martinez again. 2-2 now. Meaning we had Extra Time. After a pretty boring first half of ET, Lautaro Martinez popped a shot from an angle which was saved but none other than Messi was there on the rebound to put Argentina back on top. 3-2 now. In the dying minutes of the game Mbappe had a shot from range which hit an Argentine in the hand. Another penalty for France which Mbappe slotted it home again. We move on the penalties. Emi Martinez came up with a huge save followed by a France miss which led to Argentina getting the chance to win. Gonzalo Montiel had the chance of a lifetime. And he put it in. Argentina are world champions! This was the call heard around the world by Telemundo commentator, and fellow Argentine, Andres Cantor.
This game and tournament was the best in the eyes of many people. Through all the controversy, incredible upsets and disappointments, arguably the greatest player of all time hoisted the one trophy he failed to get in eight years prior.
Thank you Qatar for the best moments in World Cup history.
