March eight of every year is a day dedicated to all women around the world. International women’s day is to celebrate all of the achievements women have had over the past years, including the struggle for equality, the recognition and effective exercise of their rights. Truth is that it is far from being a holiday.

This day is celebrated by giving flowers to the important women in one’s life, but it is believed in many social circles, that the origin of this day comes from a historical and ideological context determined by gender inequalities.

International Women’s Day is a good time to reflect on the progress made, ask for more changes and celebrate the courage and determination of ordinary women who have played a key role in the history of their countries and communities. Let’s think about equality, build with intelligence, and innovate for change.
