In what has turned out to be a surprising decision, Oklahoma University quarterback Kyler Murray has entered the NFL draft. Murray was drafted with the ninth overall pick by the Oakland A’s in June.

Murray put up phenomenal stats this recent football season, in which he threw 377 passes for 260 completions adding up to 4,360 passing yards. Murray threw for a total of 42 touchdowns this past season. Being a dual-threat quarterback, Murray was also a danger to defenses on the ground, rushing for 1,001 yards on 140 attempts.

Murray reportedly met with the Oakland A’s and asked for a 15 million dollar contract to guarantee him going into the MLB. These are however only known to be rumors, and have not been proven.

Various teams show considerable interest in Murray, such as the Jacksonville Jaguars. Mock NFL drafts, however, have Murray going to the New York Giants, but these are only predictions.
