Chris Sonnier is a Senior at George Ranch. He is in the FFA program, and has raised pigs in the past.

The Wrangler: How would you describe the FFA program at George Ranch?

Sonnier: I would describe it as a very good program with room to improve.

The Wrangler: What are some of the things that you do in the FFA program?

Soonier: I raise animals.

The Wrangler: What animals have you raised in the past?

Sonnier: I have only raised pigs.

The Wrangler: What were the pigs’ names?

Sonnier: Breakfast the G, Kevin Footloose Bacon, Chris P. Bacon, and Alexander ‘HAM’ilton

The Wrangler: What are some of the financial costs of raising pigs?

Sonnier: Buying shavings, feed, and washing supplies.

The Wrangler: What are some of your greatest accomplishments that you have achieved raising pigs?

Sonnier: Showing my pig at the Houston Rodeo for the first time.

The Wrangler: What are some of your greatest earnings raising pigs?

Sonnier: I have not had any major earnings, I do it for the experience.

The Wrangler: Are you raising any animals at this moment?

Sonnier: No, I am done with my student agriculture experience.

The Wrangler: How has the George Ranch FFA program prepared you for life after High School?

Sonnier: It has prepared me by teaching many skills, and has taught me much responsibility.

The Wrangler: What are your plans for after High School?

Sonnier: I plan to leave agriculture in the past, and focus on Music Technology.
