Wrangler Staff Win at TAJE

The GRHS Wrangler staff headed out of town this weekend to compete at TAJE

This past weekend, newspaper students from George Ranch competed at the TAJE State competition for student journalists. The contest took place from 10/20-10/22 in San Antonio, Texas. There were students from all over Texas who came down to compete.

There were many different categories at the competition, ranging from: editorial writing & illustration, feature writing, review writing, sports writing, and photography contests.

Congratulations to Maria Gleason for receiving a Superior in Editorial Illustration, Kensly Landry received an Excellence in Editorial Writing, Zenobia Wiley received a Honorable Mention in Feature Writing and Emily Hawkins received an Honorable Mention for Review Writing. In the Photo Scavenger Hunt Team Competition Amanda Martin, Olivia Raymond, and Jaclyn Rodriguez placed fourth. Congratulations Wrangler Staff. All the staff worked extremely hard in their respective contests.
