20syl, a French DJ that has been in the music industry for over two decades, released an EP by the name of Motifs II back in 2015. A follow-up to his previous Motifs album, Motifs II kicks it off with a strong nostalgic sound in “Dust Clouds”. The song “You Know” has vocals which can at the very least be deemed repetitive. With a weird sound going on in the background it is definitely an acquired taste leaving it as my least favorite song on the EP. “Swimming Stone”, “Back & Forth”, and the instrumental version of “Copycat” will leave you wanting more of the unique and mellow sounds that 20syl is known for.
