BASKETBALL: Come join us for the third annual Moonlight Madness Pep Rally to kick off basketball season here at the Ranch on Saturday, October 29th at 7 pm. This year we will be joined by 97.9 the Box and the Harlem Dream, who will be playing our very own GRHS All Stars. If you want to see some High flying Dunks, crazy basketball moves, and tons of free giveaways, you don’t want to miss this. Tickets are $10 and are sold at the Student Service Window, or see one of the girls or boys basketball players. Harlem athletes will be signing autographs after the game. There are limited amount of tickets being sold, so get your tickets today!
GOLF: George Ranch Varisty Boys Varsity took home first place in the Brazoswood Open. Congratulations to Adam Garza and Zane Warren for finishing first and third respectively at the Brazoswood Open! Great job!
TENNIS ANNUAL COOKOUT!! Friday, October 14th @4:00 pm Hamburger, chips, drink and baked goods $6 The GRHS Tennis Team had their annual cook out on Friday, October 14th, here at The Ranch. We be took on the Foster Falcons.
FOOTBALL: The Freshmen Black team won their first district game against Brazoswood. 20- 7. Micheal Whigham threw a touchdown pass to Sylvester Idehen. Sylvester Idehen rushed for another touchdown and Eric Gibson rushed for the two point conversion. Caden Cook rushed for a touchdown late in the third quarter. Great win Longhorns. The Freshman Maroon football team hosted Brazoswood last night and came away with a 35-14 win. The Longhorns got on the board quick when Andre Falquay blocked a Buccaneer punt and ran it back for 6. Carlos Villagomez would then make the first of his 5 extra points. The Longhorn defense gave the offense the ball back again when Justin Cox intercepted a pass. Ashton Stredick would score twice for the Longhorns bringing the score to 21-0 before half time. Maveric Cates would connect with Justin Webb for a touchdown as the clock went to zero for half. With a 28-0 lead Stredickwould break a 60 yard run in the 3rd quarter for the Longhorns final score. The win brings the Longhorns to 2-2 in district play as they travel to Pearland on Thursday.
